The role.

This position offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate to take complete ownership of our warehouse operations. As the successor to our current warehouse manager, who is transitioning to a new role, you will step into a hands-on, management-level position. The role is multifaceted and physically demanding, requiring energy, stamina, and a keen sense of prioritisation to meet daily deadlines.

You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse, from accurate order picking and dispatch to meticulous stock receipt and placement. Additionally, maintaining clean work areas, minimising wastage, and providing support to co-workers during shifts are essential aspects of this position, all while delivering a first-class service to our customers. While you will have full autonomy in day-to-day decisions, there's also room for you to shape and expand the role based on your strengths and expertise. During peak periods, your supervisory skills will be paramount, and you'll also have a voice in shaping our warehouse strategy.

With our comprehensive support and training, you'll delve deep into the core processes of Easy Garden, encompassing procurement, stock control, and fulfilment systems. Your role will be pivotal, with the potential to emerge as a key operational leader, directly influencing our long-term growth strategy.

Join us at our modern fulfilment facility located in the Pembrokeshire Science & Technology Park—a hub of innovation. Here, you'll thrive in a modern, clean environment. The position is offered on an annualised contract based on a standard 40-hour week. During our peak periods (April – June), there's an expectation to adjust up to 50 hours per week, with reduced hours during the winter months. We're open to discussing contract variations, such as time off in lieu.

Key considerations for applicants:

This role involves operating a forklift; while prior experience is beneficial, it's not a prerequisite as we will provide comprehensive training. The role requires an early start, with shifts occasionally starting as early as 6 a.m. during peak periods. Additionally, accommodating overtime on short notice is crucial for this position, and you will need a driving license as, from time to time, you will need to drop off parcels to the local sorting office.
